Pekora of course didn't address this, but was distressed by the speculation that it had died. Between the unpleasantness of the situation and the difficulty in acquiring exotic monkeys, it took her a long time to bring herself to get a new one and take a picture to dispel the rumors. Unfortunately it doesn't seem like she learned her lesson with the last one as this one also looks distressed and unkempt and will likely die as well. Please devote some thoughts and prayers for this poor monkey and the mentally ill woman whose sanity will erode a little more when it, too, dies at her neglectful hands.
