>>69874442Another big problem is that until this last year, most corpos smaller than Holo and Niji were seen as too volatile. Tsunderia only collapsed a year ago, and Cyberlive only a few months before that. Aiko Air imploded just under 5 months ago. Phase is considered fairly stable now and is actually expanding, IDOL is being rumored to get bought out by Brave
I hope not, that'd probably ruin the company, and then you have the C-Listers like MyHolo, Prism, Production Kawaii, ect.
You can call it numberfagging if you want, but the fanbases likely just aren't condusive to random creative types showing up and being willing to dedicate a lot of their skills and time to a project with low chance of success and near-zero chance of returns. Up-and-coming devs aren't going to even know small corpos exist, and they'll probably be genuinely numberfagging and hoping to strike gold on Popular Thing, so they'll beeline for Holo and ignore everybody else. Devs that have been at it a while will either have their own projects to attend to, or it'll be a secondary (or even tertiary) project that goes ages between updates, if it even gets finished, so even if they're passionate about some 2view the project just might never properly materialize. So you have inexperienced numberfags trying to make a name for themselves, skilled oldfags trying to keep their own shit in line, and your oshi's caught in-between it all.
It's a mess.
