When they say that they live in the North-West Passage, they sleep in a bunk bed, Fuwawa only has long socks and Mococo only has short socks, they are talking about their characters.
Everything they say is through their characters. That's their stick. That's why it's believable when they say they love the ruffians. Because the characters Fuwawa and Mococo do. The people behind it can't "love" their fans, they maybe appreciate them but it's literally a chatbox with 10k people filled with 3 word sentences and emote spam, that's just not possible to fall in love with and would always sound insincere.
VTubers were supposed to be characters and not just fleshtubers with an anime girl avatar.
They are just doing it right and should be appreciated for what they are.
