>>69982551I think any hate comes from Anycolor first, then trickles down to the livers. Whatever old croons actually run Anycolor run it for money, not for the love of entertainment. They hire weak-willed and desperate talent to subjugate into only playing a few games, doing a few covers, and selling the shitty copypasta acrylic merch of their IP. A talent is gonna have to fight them anytime he or she wants to do anything else.
When Doki came along, Anycolor thought she would be another abusable small-time talent. However they failed to realize the dog in her, especially after proving her worth after rising to the top rank of NijiEN. So now they had to contend with her naive/revolutionary ass trying to expand or innovate NijiEN's scope of entertainment when they just want to run away doing the bare minimum. That, alongside public sentiment mostly taking her side whenever these issues were made public, probably made Anycolor seethe. Elira the nutless, likely being caught in the middle of their debates as their liaison, grew to seethe as Selen too. Elira's posse followed suit after Elira mostly likely vented to them about it.
Some may have had their own reasons to dislike Selen, but I think this where most of the hate comes from. Selen was an entrepreneurial powerhouse (relatively speaking) in the worst place to be one. I don't even think they all hate her. Some are remaining quiet while others are doing the bare minimum to not get in trouble. Because again, Anycolor purposefully went after weak, malleable people. They just misread talents like Selen and Pomu. Give the other talents a mask like ours, and some would probably even express support or adoration for Selen. That is the benefit of the doubt I will give some of them, anyway. At least, may they know there is nothing wrong with feeling that way, despite their corporate bubble likely doing its damnedest to make them feel otherwise.
