>>70116059They're all incredibly talented and unique. I think that Cover was taking a big chance with them and didn't debut them as HoloJP because they didn't want to disturb expectations. Ao-kun is obviously really charming and a talented artist, that easily switches between a cool persona and then unhinged and manic for comedic effect. I think most EN fans like Ririka the most because she's KPG and does English only streams. Raden is the JFT star becuse she's an academic with lots to share, but also very sociable and great sense as a performer. Kanade has musical talent and is very sweet, her collabs with Mori were very funny too. Bancho is just bancho, she does a silly kids voice, but her real voice is more relaxed and I guess people like her for acting like a kid.
Compared with every other previous gen of HoloJP and HoloEN, it seems that this is the first time that Cover has actively tried to recruit talented people that can push things forward beyond funny anime girl plays video games. That's not to sad they haven't hired talented individuals before, but they didn't actively try as much before, and this time the whole gen is full of talent.
It might have been a bad move for their numbers to debut them as DEV_IS instead of Hololive, but I think they should keep trying to experiment. As a stand alone unit, different from the main branch, I think they actually did really well.
