>>70140678The actual amount of caffeine in a cup of coffee varies a lot and the amount of caffeine that's healthy for a person to drink at once also varies.
There's two health risks with drinking too much coffee: One is for your liver, which can run out of the enzyme it uses to cycle caffeine out of your system. Incidentally, this also affects your liver's ability to process alcohol, so generally having more of one in your diet worsens your body's reaction to the other.
The other is simply by giving your heart too much stimulant at once, causing an irregular heartbeat, palpitations and risk of acute heart issues. Generally speaking too much caffeine chronically can weaken your heart over time, which is a much larger concern than having too much coffee in a single day--but it also means that a long-term diet with too much caffeine can make your heart more vulnerable to it over time.
Also don't mix coffee with energy drinks. The latter tend to either have much more caffeine (because it's addictive) or other, stronger stimulants and the combination can have a much larger impact on your body than just a cup of coffee or 2 alone. In fact, it's best to just avoid energy drinks altogether--they're really fucking bad for you.
