>>70142517I'm just gonna compile what I said before then to the notFinana/notElira since I still think they apply to her too.
Atonement doesn't only come from the victims, Anon. The whole point of an apology is to acknowledge your mistakes and put forth an effort to either fix the mess you made, and/or to prevent this from ever happening again. If this hypothetical Elira's serious about making good on her crimes, she don't need Doki for that. She can start by fixing her attitude, the people around her, and if/whenever Doki's ready to open up again, then she can apologize to Doki and MAYBE get closure.
It's absolutely NOT Doki's job to make Elira feel better after nearly ending her life. Just like how it's not her job to stop the bleeding subs that Nijisanji put on themselves for their horrible actions recently.
>And what next? Fuck off? Forever? Live with the consequences of your own actions forever? Die of despair? All the while you've been meaning to apologize for the past 6 years albeit to no avail because you keep saying that any attempt at an apology is a bad idea? I guess you're right. Elira should just fuck off and disappear forever. That is what you want, right?Unfortunately, yeah. That's basically it. Unless Elira can prove over time that she's overcome her own shitty personality and become a person who WON'T bully people to suicide and sabotage their careers, instead lifting people up like the fans thought she was, she's going to get shat on and shunned for her actions. Obviously nobody's COMPLETELY irredeemable, but people tend to stay stuck in their ways more often than not, making others skeptical whenever says they can change. Sayu's a shining example of that. She weathered the whole fucking nijisister army for an entire year, trying to fight back her haters with kindness to show that she's not the monster they thought she was, and she was able to do it to some extent, turning people back on her side and starting to grow even better than she was with the organ boost, although she's still radioactive as a brand thanks to Niji.
There's a fun phrase I love to think about. "Be the person your dog thinks you are." If I could tell her something, in this case it's more like "Be the person your fans thought you were, Elira."
This whole thing is just really depressing. Elira, Finana, and the rest of the organs at NijiEN weren't bad entertainers themselves. They were relatively good at their job and had good chemistry, but it seems like the complete lack of management and bullshit going on behind the scenes ruined whatever potential good they had. It's still there, somewhere, and the right direction or support might bring it back out again, but lord knows it's gonna be hard to ever trust them again. If Niji does announce a bunch of terminations, I'll probably keep an eye on most of them and see if they ever improve. I probably owe them at least that much for how much they helped me in 2021-2022 with their content.
tl;dr: You fucked up bad, but from what we know, you can still come back from this as a person, Finana. You're not the brightest but you have great potential as an entertainer when we saw you early on, but you've had a lot of bad advice and friends take you on terrible paths by shunning the people who actually were trying to either care for you in some form, or wanted to invest in you. Regardless of your intentions, you alienated a ton of your fans at some point or another, which is a death sentence for the industry. It's fine if you don't like them, but you at least need to either pretend to if you want the money, or work on creating content that DOESN'T require parasocialism, like Rin Penrose does. Personally, I think you have a lot more potential with the parasocial stuff because even if it's cringe or predatory, it's still a niche that people actually do want filled.
If you want another case of a streamer in a similar position of getting absolutely fucked out the ass reputation wise and clawing herself back, unironically look at and maybe even try to talk to Sayu again and try to reconcile, maybe even get some tips at staying strong and branching out into new content, since at the start at least both of you were pretty similar on that front too. Her twitter DMs are still open last I checked, and she DOES read them. I say this as a Sayu fan who doesn't want to reopen old wounds, but I think it would do a lot to at least help both Sayu and your own mental state to try to talk to her again, even if it's only for closure.
In closing, I really hope you're the gentle, naive idiot I think you are and not the malicious, sadistic psychopath that /vt/ thinks Elira is.
