>>7123235The problem is that you got the issue of far too many rrats and people assuming malice when it's a mixture of accidental ineptitude of a company over its head and having to deal with the constant and random actions of youtube which often was the bigger problem.
Trying to predict Youtube's actions, as when you're getting bigger you can't get away with as much stuff compared to when you were far smaller, is hard. I mean look at the out of nowhere Channel terminations this year.
Kiara randomly nuked and later given a long term shadow ban
Marine channel nuked
Haachama having random videos being tagged as Youtube Kids which removes them from the algorithm. A bunch of her stuff going private for a while was reportly due to worries of Youtube slamming her for strikes due to content (the schizo arc showing a lot of self-harm can trigger Youtube)
Even on a different level you have Youtube flagging videos for the thumbnail that barely exposes cleavage. Or how Coco had to go through three Fallout 4 streams before she could get one up that didn't get quickly shadowbanned by Youtube which gave no reason why that was done.
Then comes the fact that after Capcom almost nuked a ton of talents during the Copywritepocalyse Cover's become very anxious about games they can cover because they don't want to have talents getting whacked like that.
Combine this the fact that they've become more noticed means that what would have been ignored in 19/early 20 will be noticed and dumped onto Outrage Twitter/Youtube and thus getting those types moving aggressively being morality police (Comps to the Chinese antis/nationalists response towards the Taiwan incident).
Cover's in a place where they're acting pretty much blind and with Coco pretty much demanding to go towards the edges with just honestly "WTF ARE YOU DOING" things like the pubic hair removal streams.
She knew that when she pushed towards the edges of content she'd get more clicks and that lead to the Shock Jock problem of needing to keep inventing more ways to do things that were on the edge of acceptable as people would quickly grow desensitized to it.
Coco probably better than anyone else fully knew how to manipulate her audience to maximize cashflow, The entire Toilet RTA/Flush superchat spam was brilliant and don't get me started on just how much money she raked in during the Asacoco commercial segments
And she was one to find ways to maximize the amount of simping from the EOP audience. Shitpost review was fucking brilliant to get increased EOP interaction.
Marketing-wise she probably is the best there is in the industry as far as individual talents and the fact that she's managed to leak out enough and have enough dogwhistles to ensure places like this will always bring up her newest incarnation in matters which will skirt the NDAs but get Twitter/Youtube Clippers talking about her shows that she's distressingly good at manipulating the game.
But does that make her an amazing streamer? Honestly I don't know. I mean I was a follower of hers since probably before shit went huge and i think her entire scheme was that the meta wouldn't have changed the way it did. That honestly we wouldn't have had the giant explosion of popularity as this meant that they would have always allowed her to keep going with doing pretty much whatever she wanted because who the fuck watched Vtubers right and thus no one would really care.
But that's the problem with becoming e-famous shit becomes so much easier to take you down and wow this became a blog post.
As an Indy she gets her freedom to do whatever she wants but the problem is that she's got not one to cover her ass if she fucks up this time. And I honestly feel that she'll look at this in retrospective as outside making a fucking mountain of money, graduating as a mistake. Unless she really goes depraved on her new platform and would have gotten the boot from any company, which honestly would have turned me off from her.
What was I going on about this rant? Can you tell me? I've honestly forgotten
