>more waves come out so you always have a higher chance of getting in by sheer volume of members>the early men made such a big splash that it gives the impression that you'd have bigger reach>no weird fan culture that prevents you from doing certain things like talking to women you like or talking about the majority of subjects>if you're just trying to be a regular ass streamer, you're not beholden to idolshit or projects like that since management doesn't provide those things to you(lol)>you probably get a simpler design and don't have to associate your branding with something ugly(usually)>even if you leave, you already by default have a larger audience than you did before most likelyBut if you're trying to be a vtuber who does actual creative endeavors like music, or art, or shit like that. You'd definitely be better off with holostars since your resources are available, and the company would be expecting that stuff from you to some extent anyway. The major downsides to that being that there is less debuts so your chances are significantly lower, higher standards to get in anyways so you're expected to be able to do way more, your design might be uglier than what you'd get at Nijisanji, and you're required to maintain a better image and abide by certain demands the holofan culture would expect of you(avoiding certain subjects, avoiding certain people, stuff like that). I'd personally rather be in holostars than niji, but there definitely was an argument to be made for both(nowadays with niji's reputation, I don't know)
