Right now VShoujo is more like a cooperarive that an actual corporation.
Owning the model and the IP would signal the change to the buisness model of an actual corporation, with more of a focus on taking relatively unknown talents and giving them support to grow, but also managing them so that they don't end up dragging the company name to the mud.
