>>70433877It won't, not by a long shot. What we're seeing is the natural evolution of the scene with a lot of hard lessons learned during the last few years. Vtubing as a whole has a bright future ahead of it, and so does EN vtubing as a whole. Phase connect has emerged as a strong and rock solid player on the EN scene for instance. We're just in a transitory stage where failed business/cultural models are failing in real time - the maletuber is outed as a complete waste of time, a liability and bringer of disorder (Tempus, Niji as a whole). Management that actually manages and assists the talents and maintains corpo standards is invaluable (Omegatroon fiasco, NijiEN's clusterfuck, Phase's early struggles.) Grifting will come back to bite you in the ass big time and you owe your audience everything (Rushia, Yuko) etc.
Basically the scene is maturing and theoretical questions are being answered in real time, bringing down those who failed to answer them correctly. HoloEN, Phase, a lot of indies... many have grappled with issues and overcame them and learned how to do things and more importantly what not to do. In equal measure many failed to do so. The biggest loser in all of this by sheer size is Nijisanji. Nijisanji shouldn't even be a thing at this point. Various small corpos that failed tended to fail due to lack of management and/or business experience. Idol for instance suffers from lack of vision despite having some great talents like Coni. Phase pulled through at the beginning because Sakana is an actual businessman who has that rare ability to recognize when he's out of his depth and hire help. Competent female managers saved Phase. Niji is a disaster from top to bottom, Riku himself is a shithead. Hololive sluggishly recognized the problems in HoloEN, but they did eventually act and purge it of vileness and are doing fine now.
tl;dr all will be well. We're just shedding deadweight and garbage.
