You can see the real thumbnails if you click through with autoplay turned off on your browser, or if you change up the search terms. The shitty fake thumbnail replacement happens when you search the phrase "kronii love fauna did a spank", but not "kronii love fauna did a spank mumei just enjoyers", "kronii love fauna did spank", "kronii love fauna did a" or "fauna love kronii did a spank". The only explanation that I can think of is that YouTube has some janky-ass AI meme thumbnail replacement content safety algorithm, and the search query "Kronii love Fauna did a spank" is just over the edge of triggering it. It's strange no matter what the cause is.
