I don't know where you live anon but you can't just build a house wherever. Plus having solar panels doesn't give you freedom from bills, you can use some of the energy you produce to sell back to the town but you still have to have a contract with an electric company

Yeah, paying landlord is dumb, you should get mortgage as soon as you can, even if you pay a lot more in mortgage for the house, by the time you pay it off your house will probably cost more than that mortgage percent was, while your money wasn't sinked into drain/landlord
