Kronii started making a lot after joining Hololive and every family has some members that jump at the chance to get free money. It's sad but kindness can be viewed as weakness and he clearly does believe he can get more from her. The situation might require a restraining order because if the guy is a druggie or gambler he might not back off until the police get involved.

I used to trauma dump on online friends when I played mmos. There's something about the sweet spot of not quite actual friends but also not strangers that makes it feel good. I'd imagine it'd be a lot better if I was getting paid by those people too.
