Sayu tried it but she fucked up by doing it too early and gaining too much controversy too fast. Now she's trying and failing to ride the coattails of Doki properly using the strat since Doki used the maximum pity bait + criminal accusation + no proof combo.

It's a very interesting new strategy, I await for people in different corpos to use it and I expect people to continuously buy it up to a certain point.

Depends on the 'bang' part. The exit from the agency has to be either:
1. Edges a lot of the old fans for the kind of contents youve been doing while still being a part of the agency, so that when you leave, the fans know that they need to go to your PL to get the fix for what they crave
2. Cause massive attention on the public space. Works as temporary advertisement for your PL which might work or not, depending on how the news/drama entails

Bait thread, but I hope it does. As a talent agency, which vtuber corpos are at a base level, you have to offer your talents a reason to stay, or strap them down and force them to stay. If enough take the exposure and successfully jump ship the gameplan will have to change. One way is good for new talents, the other way could destroy the corpo industry. Either way is a net positive.

With niji, you basically get at most half of your streaming income. So you can basically lose 50% of your audience and still be on the same level.
And you don't have to deal with a japanese autism anymore.
And you actually get full value from the merch instead of 2%.

You need to be JUSTIFIED in leaving to keep your viewership or grow in viewers.
