Karaoke is great but when you've got a singing career you can't be blowing up your voice 5 days a week for streaming content, and when a lot of your offline life is spent doing things for projects that you can't talk about yet, it's hard to have enough stuff to talk about in a chatting stream to make that a regular thing.
There were attempts in the past to help her branch out, like the minecraft collabs with Sora, but nothing really clicked with her until Geoguessr. It gave her something to actually stream regularly that she clearly enjoys, and it suits her image since having a cute girl exploring the streets of random japanese cities and towns via streetview is basically a tourism ad.
