It's quite astonishing when groups like HIMEHINA or individuals like Suzuna Nagihara or even Suntory Nomu can mog the average singing ability of the group. Seriously, a Japanese beverage company can find a better Vsinger than a Vtubing focused company.
Of course, the group is better in other areas that comprises the overall Vtubing experience but the music at its core isn't one of the Cover's strong suits IMO. They do best when they don't emphasize on the music itself and make the best of what they have in that area with regards to concerts and etc. to rake in the money and draw in people via fan power and production values and dancing and other things. That's why fans always talk about the music as it relates within the group, I have seen very few honest conversations about that. They would need to improve their talent's average singing ability to make projects like Blue Journey worth it.
