>>71380039Pretty much. Few actually live there and most that work there commute from Knoxville or one of the smaller cities nearby. I only head to that way if I'm with visiting friends or family who want to go to Dollywood or the Gatlinburg strip. Pigeon Forge is a goofy tourist trap and Gatlinburg has largely lost a lot of what made it cool and is just CBD shops and escape rooms (except for Donut Friar. Goddamn it's still so good). Otherwise there are much quicker ways to the get to the mountains that skips all the tourist traffic.
>>71380543Yeah, lots of crossover between Myrtle Beach, Pigeon Forge/Gatlinburg and Branson. It's basically all the same owners/hokey tourism chain attractions except it's got mountains/beach/lake as a backdrop. Traffic in PF/Gatlinburg is absurd because it's basically all built up along a single parkway that also leads into the national park.
