>>71731476The defensive utility is so good that it basically means you won't ever be punished for taking a hit. It's really, really strong in the base game. I don't care if a veteran uses it on a new save file, but I do think it takes away a bit from the experience if you're a new player and you use it. Making your own armor is part of the fun.
