the average youtuber isn't a corporation. publishers generally give out blanket streaming permission to individuals but not to corporations. that's why (you) can just go on youtube or twitch and stream a mario game, but Ford Motor Company can't just put mario in their commercials to sell their newest F150.

I've only seen that with Aloe, and it was actually correct, a large part of why she quit was harassment from Niji fans. They're a notoriously toxic fanbase and have a long history of pulling that shit, and evidently it spread to the EN side given the default reaction their fans have to internal drama is to blame it on hololive fans who don't even know what they're talking about

some did when they formally got permission for that game. but a lot didn't, even if they got permission, because holos would sing random songs in the middle of stream or show a picture of something that they didn't have permission for so that would leave the whole vod dead. happened a lot in minecraft. and on at least one channel (subaru) retarded managers permanently deleted the vods instead of privating them so they can't be recovered.

There's a lot of overlap between the Niji fanbase and hololive antis, so the lines get kinda blurry when you try to attribute blame for things, but there were plenty of cases of people actively trying to get them in trouble. There was an extremely funny incident where they were convinced Korone was streaming Banjo without permission and spammed Rare with emails about it, and Rare just posted a link to the stream on their official twitter
