I like em, it brings variety and lets smaller lesser known mangaka's follow their dreams while streaming their work. I see it no different than the mangaka's who post speed drawings and tutorial videos on youtube, it helps them get an extra bit of cash.

If they are already living as anime characters in the world they draw, it's not too farfetched for them to start being anime characters on youtube. That being said, it's clear that some mangaka are good at this, others not so much.

It's a logical step, most of them already stream their drawing process so it's not that much different from what they usually do, and being an artist getting a vtuber model is easier and cheaper for them too.
