The marketing of this project is essentially "playing hard to get". it should've worked if the fanbase is large and FOMO enough, but not everyone can be Kojima. They gambled big and failed.

Because at its core, Hololive did not have the talent/Vsingers needed to pull off a music focused project like this and have burned any Vsinger who had to eventually branch out of music to make it inside the company which would've made it possible. People listen to and attend Hololive concerts not for the music itself, but everything else inside said experience. Focusing on the worst aspect of that on a venture like this was bound to fail. There is a reason Hololive's musical ability is rarely discussed in an objective manner and is only ever commonly discussed in comparison within the company itself.

The thing about this project is that it removes all of the girl's individual personality. They're all wearing the same outfit, singing (in group) some sad songs that have no relation to them. I think, by removing this, it's missing the main thing that makes vtubers appealing.
