The big western charities like the red cross, oxfam etc., spend something like 94 to 98%++ on "administration costs" (aka paying eachother) and only a paltry percentage actually goes to the stated cause. And most of that end sum likely gets co-opted by corrupt politicians or the local mafia. It's all a sham. Don't waste your money.

The only effective way to do charity as a corporation is to donate directly to the hospital/school/whatever. Most of the big charities are scams that spend all their money on "raising awareness" and act as tax dodges for the wealthy. Personally, I don't care how Cover gets their tax write offs as long as they aren't donating to political activist shit.

This is a new charity set up by an Indonesian VC fund specifically to buy and distribute medical supplies, so there isn't really any overhead to speak of. It is obviously a great tax writeoff though.
