>>72443287Youtube Shorts still does pretty well for exposure. It's a clear #2 to TikTok but it's ahead of things like Instagram / Facebook Reels. TikTok is also in for a turbulent future as it's currently fighting it's userbase* as well as the US Government.
The fight with it's userbase is really centered around the addition of the TikTok shop and the in-baked advertising that's happening. Essentially creators are getting sponsorships to promote products in the shop with crazy discount codes (in order to get people to break that first purchase threshold) but they're doing so in almost a shotgun fashion with many users reporting sitting through essentially the same add 4-5 videos in a row.
It's at least clearly an algorithm problem they could fix. Right now it's definitely intentional, but I can see the algo being their excuse for it.
