>>72574788 I just don't think it's good:
* RPG leveling system that does nothing other than work as a very awful tutorial and maybe pad out the game a bit
* Extremely simplistic combat, no combos, no jump, no grabs, only real attempts at doing anything comes from gear where the only thing you truly want is superarmor and speed second, maybe there's stuff that I didn't see from gear, but I'm not really going to continue playing to find out if there's more
* Slow movement both inside and outside of combat
* Once combat starts the arenas can get far too long, specially if solo, a dash would've absolutely helped with that
* Wtihout superarmor your character is interrupted far too easily
* Bad feedback on hits, you'll die without even realizing you were close to death
* Level design just doesn't exist, it's a straight line in the most basic Final Fight level you could imagine, but even worse because the levels are just empty other than a few grabable items and a zone you can't interact with which is where you'll see most of the cameos
* Lack of save system to drop a run and continue where you left off
* Once you're dead you're restarting the entire or most of the level (saying most because one time I restarted in the second screen of the level, that could've been a bug though)
* The absurdly most subjective thing you'll probably hear in a good while: you see when you hit a button for the first time, throw a punch and think "this is awesome, I want more" that is present in basically every great beat 'em up? It failed that, I felt nothing. I know this is not a good metric at all, but just something that I know someone will understand me
* It should've been delayed to release with proper online (and ideally matchmaking)
But enough with that, I personally think that even if you're a NePoLaBo and HoloX fan you'd still struggle to find enjoyment out of it once you're over with the "oh, that's a cute reference". The only reason I said that if your oshi isn't playable in this is because of this, because at least with NePoLaBo and HoloX the references last the entire game and it's also fun to see how Kay Yu and the dev team interpreted the characters in this game, but it can only do so much when the game is simply not that good, I got my kick early on with Sora and Iofi together and then it went down fast, and it's not because of not doing enough work, if anything I think they overdid it in certain parts leading to an unfocused game (seriously why the RPG mechanics?), and unfortunately this game seems like a one off, unlike HoloCure or Idol Showdown, meaning I don't believe the game is gonna be patched significantly, bug fixing, sure, but some of the stuff is probably gonna require more work than what Kay or the team are probably willing to do
