>>72589238>What exactly even is the end goal of this Hololive Fantasy arc? They're spending big, it feels big, but each announcement seems so small in comparison to what it feels like it's building up to.I had to link from the last Castle thread to talk about what the Holo Fantasy project and why the girls get sent to Scotland.
Basically, Idols these days meant reality TV of young girls wanting to start a music career. Both East and West. But In Japan that was not what it originally was.
In Japan, the first batch of Idols are girls who are given a kayfabe that they are basically not human. They are basically Virtual Youbers but in-person. This means they were told to never be seen going to the bathroom, answer questions with answers that are feminine and disney-princess like. And project a fake luxury lifestyle. A lot of this stuff obviously survived as gags in modern Vtubing.
Going to a castle for a weekend is actually something old school lidols could have done. This is part of the image they were suppose to have. This is why the expense is paid; this is work to cultivate the IP, not a true holiday.
