You want to know someone over their PFP too when you get attached to them, Of course we don't have to know all the face behind the PNG, but the person behind it, the fact it's not just a mask to act cute and nice when you are a piece of shit, has become a serious requirement at this point.
Also if someone wants to show their face it's not doxxing, and of course everyone wants to collab with people regardless if they are Vtubers or not, you have to be an ass to say to someone "I can't be friend with you because you don't want to use a PNG when you do videos.
You do you, but it is what it is. Just don't doxx people if they don't want and don't judge them for how they want to live their life, either follow them or don't.
