Anons, I've been in the Chuubahole since Kizuna Ai and HoloJP being the only Hololive era. As years have gone by, I've found myself more attached to VT than I was years ago. It starts to depress me when I think about how I probably have a better chance to win the lottery than I do of somehow meeting and being together with any of the girls I enjoy watching.

How do you guys handle this? Genuinely asking. It's insanely frustrating how hard it is to find biological women that are into nerd hobbies. These days most "girls" in the nerd space are trooners who would not even fool a blind man that they were a "woman"

There's so many of these girls online in the Vtuber world, but none of those girls are types that we are likely to encounter, much less be in a relationship with.

So yeah, do you pretend they're your actual girlfriend? If so, how do you handle the part of you that knows you're lying to yourself and feels pathetic? Do you imagine them as tulpas? At this point I feel like I'm in too deep. I enjoy Chuubas until they talk about their past sexual encounters, or the thought of them with others comes up. And then when I'm driving down the highway I think to myself "wow dude my life is pathetic lmao"
