A lot of the smaller ones can't/didn't pull this off of course, but the reason they have an audience is unironically because leeching with men gradually carved one out of their imported audience like a glacier. Which is why being close to vshojo is attractive enough for dozens of different chuubas to have attempted becoming so over the years. There are a few outliers. Namely, sex. And a single chatbot that was the first and therefore only one to ever catch on and stays big because it was "cool and big at the time" energy as well as the friends he made back the giving him a bubble. Also, sex numbers. And there's one pre-made woman who did a bunch of flips to abuse the ridiculous numberpumping that YouTube shorts give as long as you get lucky and spill them over onto Twitch for her streams. She also has her own bubble. Those bubbles have lost since melted together(honestly they started out melted together but if we're super honest that's also true for almost any bubbles even if it's a tiny amount) and shifted form and had their own mini bubbles grow around the smaller vtubers nearer to the bottom.
But do not mistake the origin of the numbers on Twitch. They come from women selling themselves out to a fanbase who sees her like the average Twitchnigger twelve year old who watches xQc and plays FPS sees a random e-thot.
Also did I mention sex? Coomers are actual savages with zero ethics and standards and there's so fucking many of them who will absolutely refuse to stop beating their dick to anything woman shaped in front of them. Most of those are on Twitch because they're what happens to some of those 12 year olds when they grow up physically but not mentally
