> Q. Why do you guys sometimes have a non-VTuber OP?Site culture originally inherited from old /vyt/. Over time OPs have become just Hololive girls due to anons' laziness and because they have the biggest numbers. OP wars have died out long ago among the flood of other shitposts. "Kiss the ring to acknowledge Hololive domination, and THEN you may discuss other chuubas here" is the general mood here nowadays.
We will usually have one OP with the Gold winner around the time the tally is posted however - usually followed by lewds of said winner posted by fans.
> Q. Gold? Tally? Whuh?We have many tallies that we horse race with (horse racing being comparing the peak CCVs of two streams) : The global tally, the cripple gold tally (EN Youtube only), the Raspberry tally etc. Winners obviously get medals (which have no effect outside this thread, simply for fun). Tallies are posted by anons like you and me, so they might not always be consistent (save for the global tally
dwarf too OP).
General rule is that streams that start between 00:00 and 23:59 Japan time will be counted for that day. Any stream that gets above 10k will appear in the Global Tally, EN streams above 5k will appear on the cripple tally, and HoloEN/NijiEN streams below 1k will appear in the raspberry tally.
If a stream starts close to, but before 24:00, any peaks it has until 25:00 (aka 1am JP time next day) will be counted for the purposes of the tally.
Fleshie dominant streams were a grey area for a while, but now as long as it's on a tracked VTuber channel with at least one VTuber participating in some form, it will be counted.
> Q. What are those graphs that some anons post?Peak CCV over time. See the list at the start of the thread for the sites where you can find it. Vrabi and Vstats are the main ones we use. See top of thread for other sites.
> Q. Why use peaks? Why not averages?Peaks allow for a lot more exciting minute-by-minute horseraces. Averages are too slow and boring.
> Q. Why no twitch numbers?Twitch allows many things that inflate their stream numbers like embeds, multi-tab vieweing counting for both tabs, muted streams counting etc. which Youtube does not.
Thus, Youtube and Twitch numbers are not directly comparable. Anyone doing so will be treated like a shitposter.
Twitch-only tally is sometimes posted, but twitch numberfagging is usually done in /lig/. /#/ is more Youtube centric.
> Q. Why do you guys have so many schizos? This is the central hub for general discussion about VTubers and the VTuber industry. Numbers can be affected by a myriad of things surrounding VTubers, the industry, and even certain world events (/pol/shit is obviously not welcome when there's no connection to chuubas).
Naturally, if someone wants to find/post news/drama and discuss events, /#/ is the first place to go, second being the catalog - which gets most of its posts from here, and now /news/.
Browsing /#/ is not for the weak or easily baited anons. There are occasions where the thread is 80% spam and shitposts (which sometimes result in mass [Deleted] events) and there's always someone trying to pit random fanbases against each other with falseflags, and there's also the occasional raid from random holoanti discords.. all of which you will have to learn to identify Report, Hide, Ignore and Filter (mentally or otherwise) if you want to have a good experience browsing the thread.
Your oshi WILL get shit on at some point, either for her numbers or for her stream content, or for some random schizo headcanon. Sometimes there's ironic shitposting from fans of chuubas as well, if the topic is funny enough.
If you are the type to be easily triggered by random shitposts about your oshi, this is not the thread for you.
But when there are no schizos around, /#/ is also the best place for nuanced discussion about VTubers and tangentially V-Tuber related stuff. There's even the rare 2view discussion when someone brings it up and if it's an interesting enough topic.
> Q. "Can you guys take your schizos back/ STOP SHITTING UP OUR THREAD!!" etc.We take no responsibility for "our" schizos in other threads. We didn't really ask for them either and hold no control over what threads they choose to shit up, including ours.
> Q. What is CCVID/King/Emperor/Z/worm/MOST/DORYAAA etc.The history, culture and memes of a thread that's been going since the earliest days of /vt/ can hardly be conveyed through a single text post. Lurk more, and do your archive reps.
Anons are tsundere however, and if you ask nicely they will probably spoonfeed you while shitting on you.> Q. Why do you guys hate holostars/nijis/vshojo etc.?Long history of fans of these groups (and sometimes the VTubers themselves) hating Hololive, their fans, and anime culture in general. And of course, said fans shitting up this thread.
These groups occasionally get nuanced discussion but only if it's started in good faith.
