Everything we know: they were large, they were aggressive, they invaded farming communities and demanded to be fed, they were cannibalistic, they were the product of sons of gods (Northern Eurasian hunters) and daughters of men (Southern Eurasian farmers).
Where did they come from: 400,000 years ago they were hunting large animals in Schöningen Germany with sharpened wooden spears. 28,000 years ago they left a carved Venus statue of a giant obese woman made of mammoth ivory and covered in red ocher in Austria. At this same time they were practicing cannibalistic mortuary practices in Krapina rock shelter. 15,000 years ago they created the first images of the swastika carved on items made of mammoth ivory found in Northern Eurasia, north of the Pontic-Caspian Steppe. 10,000 years ago they invaded Gobekli Tepe leaving evidence of cannibalism and causing this ancient civilization to be abandoned. 8,000 years ago they invaded Catalhuyok leaving carved sculptures of giant obese people and causing Catalhuyok to be abandoned as a result of increased interpersonal violence. 7,500 years ago they were the Linearbandkeramik culture that left mass graves (absent young women that they were kidnapping) spread across Europe. 6,000 years ago they were a death cult that buried their dead in the island of Malta with weapons, red ocher, and carved images of giant obese people at the same time as the Late Chalcolithic Cultural Collapse in Southeastern Europe. 1,800 years ago they were living in Lovelock Cave in Nevada, which we know because of an oral history of the Paiute tribe of Nevada (who were at war with these giant, red headed, cannibalistic people) but more so because recent DNA analysis of one individual from Lovelock Cave (carbon dated to 1,800 years before present) found that this individual was not a Native American, but had genes of Turkic Huns that have been found in Bronze Age Europe. Genes of these ancient people probably led to the fall of the North American Anasazi civilization (a North American tribe which used the symbol of the swastika), which left archaeological evidence and an oral tradition that their civilization fell to a rise in interpersonal violence and cannibalism 1,200 years ago.
What did they look like: every carved image that has been found suggests that they were giant and obese, they looked like giant obese Sumo wrestlers.
How did they behave: all evidence of cannibalism, genocide, increased interpersonal violence, and fall of ancient civilizations suggests that they were aggressive, violent, and destructive. They worshipped death and the dead, and the color red of blood and death was religiously significant. Their spread led to the Y-chromosome bottleneck, a time of male genocide, so they were probably rapists and murderers.
What killed them off: Their genes still exist in modern populations. Their tendency toward violence and warfare (they were drawn toward conflict and tended to kill each other) has thinned out their violent behavior somewhat in modern populations. Also, since they were vile and hated, good people in the past would tend to poison them to rid the Earth of their kind. One prime example of this would be the death of Attila the Hun, who with the help of Germanic tribes caused the fall of the Roman Empire.
What else? It’s all in the archaeological record and in the genetic record of fossilized ancient people.
