>>73257267I used to do this but in a way I had the opposite problem. I don't have many standards for vtubers and am in general easily entertained, but if i see a vtuber cross any major line of mine, I will never watch them again.
After getting burned dozens of times by secret boyfriends and male collabs out of nowhere, I stopped watching new vtubers that pop up and instead scour around occasionally for vtubers and see what's being said about them.
I actually saw one of the vtubers I got burned by end up making anti comments about my oshi months later, too. I had given that one like $300 over the course of a few streams and already felt disgusted by her after I found out she bad a bf. Seeing her pop up again months later in imgur links on 5ch was one hell a trip. I actually felt ill from that.
Whenever vtubers stop being whores in general lemme know and I'll go back to browsing based on my suggestions in my sidebar, but frankly I was more open, generous, and lenient than most viewers and all I ended up doing was having many of those vtubers make me regret it. I doubt I'm the only one they disappointed if I exist too, so why should I feel impelled ethically to help someone who willfully disappoints people who support them? Literally spiting charity given freely to you, what the fuck
