>>73501128I originally came here from /v/. I watched that board degenerate into a completely worthless, unusable shithole where video game discussion is impossible.
Back in late 2021/early 2022, there was an individual, or perhaps a group of individuals, who would go onto /v/ and make off-topic threads using vtuber models, particularly Gura. It happened so often that I eventually decided to come here and see what the board was about.
That happened to be shortly after Rushia was terminated and the board was still being completely flooded with threads about her. Being a tourist, I had no idea who she was or what happened, so I lurked threads and looked up information.
It piqued my interest because everyone had such strong opinions, regardless of which side they were on. I decided to stick around, thinking that this was something common in the vtuber community: huge dramas, mentally ill people, doxxings, betrayals.
I've been waiting for something big like that to happen again. In that time waiting I've read threads and wikis, watched clips and shorts and have enough secondary knowledge to participate in conversations here. Since Nijisanji is the only really big drama now, I frequent those the most. I make posts taking either side, depending on the direction the thread is going, despite having no horse in the race.
My dream is to see the day that NijiEN collapses, as it's the only thing that could rival the Rushia drama for me that would realistically happen in the foreseeable future. So if you ever find yourself thinking that /vt/ sucks, you can blame the containment breakers from a couple of years ago for bringing autists like myself here.
