At least if that crashes, you are still actively streaming and can deal with it or do something else entirely.
It's just more sensible this way. You don't need a super beefy system for the streaming, just decent enough for your target resolution and framerate, to handle whatever software you use (maybe you have a lot of OBS layers, etc.)
Also best to install scripts to optimize shit things like Youtubes awful superchat panel that REFRESHES AT 60FPS FOR NO REAL REASON.
But in other terms, usually it's just a setup issue you need to fuck around with in software, like limiting FPS for games.
But honestly if you have the money, a dual-system setup isn't half bad.
