Both seem happy for the moment. NotSelen is flourishing with all the little projects she can now bring to fruition, and notPomu sounds happier and more like herself with every stream she does. It has to be done in japan where the studio is as far as I know. Holo requires it too for theirs, or at least for now. Who knows if they'll eventually install a 3D studio in the american office when they get the opportunity in a year or two.

No. They had to redo the girls part of the concert after Selen got terminated and some parts of the boys too. Half of NijisanjiEN were in Japan while Selen was terminated. Pomu was also in Japan and was part of the concert

Nope, because in October 2022 neither Finana nor all of Ethyria had gone to Japan yet at all. Only Luxiem had something recorded that far in the past (January 2023, the Battle.net screenshot leak). Nobody else had recorded anything for it until September/October 2023.

There were no Obsydia song to re-record. They cut out Black Out entirely. They didn't re-record it without Selen.

It's relatively easy to remove one person from a big group song. Just don't render their model & remove their voice from the audio mix. Can't really do that for songs where that person has solo lines (like Selen would in Blackout) or in variety segments (where people would actually interact with her).

Not enough time. The boys were only there for 2 weeks in September, girls for 2 weeks in October. 2 weeks isn't enough time to record an entire concert AND 8 3D debuts for each gender.
As for why they did AR Live first? Because EN management thought they could make more money by paywalling EN 3D unveilings.
