For Selen to be in the wrong, we have to believe that she somehow managed to get the whole MV made without telling management who was in it and then blindside them on Christmas with the fact. This video is a collaborative project between multiple artists and features almost every Nijisanji EN liver in it. Months of work would have to go into recording, mixing, illustrating, and refining the final product. We can be generous and say the project took 10 months from initial proposal and conceptualization to publishing.
10 months is roughly equivalent to 300 days.
There's no way on God's green Earth Selen hides a whole music video for 300 days from a competent manager. There are storyboards to show, concepts to confirm, permissions to get. We know Lilypichu gave the ok on her end as per her public comment on Twitter, so that means permissions were most likely something within Nijisanji.
For the sisters to be completely justified and for Nijisanji to be 100% in the right, Selen would have had to recruit all these artists and work on the entire thing without telling a single soul in the entire corpo.
On the other hand, for Selen to be justified in her actions, we would have to assume the necessary perms were never requested early enough to guarantee the release on the day of. It would mean the managerial staff of the corpo was negligent at best and malicious at worst.
Between a single girl who has willingly paid exorbitant amounts of her own money to ensure her audience's happiness and a corporation known to engage in emotionally abusive practices towards their own talents (unless you're willing to contest the onstream testimony of a JP liver), the question comes down to this.
Which side is likelier to be in the right?
The lone girl trying to give her fans a great time?
Or the corpo that gets called a prison by the people who leave it?
Matara, Quinn, and Kuro have all let slip their own opinions about management. If we take their word to be true, then I see no reason to believe the corpo's word over Doki's.
Any attempt at good management now is simply "making up for the bad management we did back then".

But if you're going to make the wrong one, at least be informed about why it's wrong. The only thing worse than an asshole is an ignorant, unaware asshole.
