Theory says some cocky bilingual staff member leaked her character name in /a/ or 5ch because he posts a lot there/used to, so they changed it to Kiara after people found the channel with the pre-Kiara name (channels are created with months of anticipation apparently) and started subscribing, COVER then changed her from division to avoid a contract breach/doxx (channels are used for testing models and other stuff), then Hololive rushed to get a new Gen 5 member, but because they had concluded casting and shit, they couldn't get a new girl who would not ask for re-negotiations of the contract to get better terms, so they ended up calling the only individual who wouldn't negotiate better terms on her contract, the extremely persistent and pestering Nenechi who was happy just with having the baseline and being part of Hololive in any way, that explains why Nenechi model was stiff and buggy originally, and somehow that actually went better than expected as Bilingual Kiara blended better in EN than JP only, this also explains why EN has 5 members instead of the more appropiate for western known games "4 players" and also explains why there's a "Seiso Idol" type there, which doesn't exactly fit, when it is clear that said archetype ain't that popular outside Japan, thankfully, Kiara is never Seiso so she blends well with the crew.
