The rest of yonkisei didn't want to be in that outfit without her, and so it limited participating in some of the group songs. Half of me wants to call bullshit on the outfit issues, but then again 2020 Cover was really slow at improving their tech.
I also don't know if that is the whole story, or if there was more, but I doubt it was mainly to do with the China antis.
