some recent Shiori observations I've made
even though Shiori tends to be quiet and kinda snarky in collabs, she's ended up being one of the more energetic and positive voices especially in recent groupings. even next to Biboo she seems to invoke a more positive vibe, usually looking out for the team or trying to check that everyone is having fun. there's been a noticeable tone shift in group dynamics when Shiori leaves where it feels like the energy level drops slightly. it was really apparent in the jackbox stream, but I've noticed it since the Minecraft streams too. and she practically carried all of the energy for the Content Warning stream. it's interesting because she herself doesn't come across as high energy, but she's kind of like Sana where she's good at carrying the vibe.
I think this is why people like Mori enjoy collabing with Shiori even if she's so weird. Shiori only goes quiet out of respect or if she's listening, but she'll never let a convo just fizzle out or dodge a weird topic. if Mori, for some reason, wanted to talk about something random like rotten meat, or cramps, she could trust Shiori to be there for it. I figure that's one of the things that makes Shiori comfy to have around.
another observation is that Shiori's gameplay is very good. as long as the game forces her to focus, she plays very competently. she's one of the few that I'm convinced could have beaten Cuphead in one stream, if she was a marathon streamer, and it's cool to watch her not afraid to go for parries and stuff in the Lillies games. her gaming skill might be her most underrated quality!
