Hell, they didn't even have one month. The decision to release AR was only made after the catastrophic Q3 revenue report, which was published a month after the black screen and subsequent mass unsubscriptions. The investors already knew that Q4 would be a bloodbath compared to Q3, but didn't know just how bad the baseline was until the report was released; once it was released, the whales rushed to the fire exits and the stock dropped to the circuit breaker.
Then Rosemi's partially truncated 3D debut happened. It got the lowest CCV and SC numbers of any 3D debut in Niji history, and then the vod got Sony'd over the weekend.
A few days after that vod returned was when they suddenly announced the anniversary "celebration". Given that literally half of the events for the anniversary were events which had previously been postponed, I'm guessing that the plan was formulated at some point after Rosemi's 3D flopped.
They barely had enough time to remove the 3D models of Nina, Mysta, and Pomu; and did not remove their voices, nor the empty spaces in the group shots where they would have been. The only other "fixing" they did was the wholesale removal of all the songs and variety skits which had Selen in them for even one frame - this resulted in Rosemi's presence in the whole show to be reduced to one (1) song.
....oh, and the company also recently announced the aptly named "life support" sale, which seems to be an inventory liquidation sale. Among other things, they're selling Selen merch.
