The problem with poor people is they don't. They might pretend to, but if they could earn 5k that easily they wouldn't be begging for it now. And when you befriend a poor person you know they're always thinking about it or seething when you do something they can't afford to do themselves and it's a pain to deal with them.

That's why I give no money to anyone. The only exceptions are if we're out already and they don't have cash on them or it's just easier for one person to pay. And there I expect them to pay me back if not in cash then just the next time it'll be their turn.
