>>73943008The problem with this is that such people can't survive on twitch.
You get visibility on twitch by farming drama or getting a big content creator to pay attention to you (like that literal 1view wood artisan guy who blew up to 50k overnight when some big streamer reacted to a clip of his).
Getting eyes on you like that is luck, not a reliable path.
But at the same time, not farming and drama, not interacting with anyone and just staying in your own lane will cap your ceiling at like 200 or so viewers.
You will NEVER grow beyond that on twitch no matter how entertaining you are.
And western indies will never play well with Youtube and their copyright system, so they will simply choose twitch every time because they don't have to think about anything else but streaming on twitch. No copyright bullshit, play whatever, react to whatever.
And even if you somehow overcome all this and get yourself a small community and prep to grow more, you will get the rest of the crabs nipping at your heels for one reason or the other in order to pull you down. Anyone you collab with could "cancel" you for whatever reason 3 months later if they felt like it, and you couldn't do shit about it because their combined fanbases would drown out your small one - once again capping your ceiling by filtering all normies from your streams.
There is currently negative incentive for a western indie to try and create good content and thrive that way. This is why NotBiboo kept her stuff on the down low and just bailed once she got in. And considering how her one remaining friend was happy for her, she chose well.
