This is the real trap of psychiatry, people freaking out about nothingburgers and thinking they need all sorts of drugs and therapy for totally mundane experiences.

Dissociating isn't a mental disorder.

In reality the "self identity" is just an illusion, an affectation caused by routine habit. If you wake up one day and decide to be a different person there's no reason you can't be. Maybe you just don't like your lifestyle anymore. Why do people think it's normal to switch careers and not personalities? Eventually once you ego death enough times you'll realize it was just the surface level peeling off, your underlying feelings were always there and always the same, you just weren't who you THOUGHT you were and trying to force yourself to be anyway stressed you out.
Even normalfags understand the utility of a vacation, it's not to go swimming, it's to leave behind your life and circumstances and be a different person with no obligations for a while so you can reset and re-evaluate things.
