Live viewers are imo a more straight forward way to gauge how big your dedicated fanbase is. If you can make 10 k show up almost regardless of what the stream is about or at what time your playing, you've clearly found something that works.
In regards to numberfagging in general, using metrics to try to evaluate trends/performance is good and fun in my opinion. I like seeing the chuubas I watch gain numbers because it indicates they're doing something right as an entertainer and will be around longer.
Using numbers for tribal shit is just plain retarded. Only big numbers count is also retarded.
