I think they did good with that, but I don't care for the rewritten story, the new combat (fuck stagger, it's gay as shit), or the open world padded side quest shit so the game can pretend it has meaningful content and you get 100+ hours of it even though all the optional shit sucks.
>>74070310The game's become a multiverse kind of scenario where anything can happen, so basically nothing matters. It's essentially more of a sequel rather than a remake and this has made it kind of controversial with both casual and hardcore fans. Some people like it and others hate it.
This is frustrating to players because a lot of the stuff from the original game is apparently fantastic in the remake, while all the rewritten and new things are not the things people are fond of for the remakes. It's undoubtedly full of content and interesting scenes with the characters, but I can also understand why some people really don't like it.
