We knew that already however, people aren't under illusions that the models have to be made by Pixar and take years to do the physics for or whatever. They are not impossibly hard to get and aren't coated with diamonds or something for expense to the company. The company holds up the 3Ds to make it a separate event later that can be used to be a shot in the arm revitalizing a talent by suddenly bringing her back up to the spotlight. I.e it helps the company make more money and gives the talent a second wind in attention from fans. They are NOT withheld just for the fun of it to be evil black corpos tormenting the talents. Vshojo are just cavemen not understanding the purpose of nuance about these things (which is perfectly typical of them). If you start with a 3D that is blowing the entire load in one go. It will be a bigger debut yeah but like, a year from now, two years from now, three years from now, it won't be something new and exciting to look forward to.
Mind you I say all this but still hate Nijisanji to the core and do think they waited too long and fucked up bad on 3D, I think they should basically be done within a year and in chronological order of introduced talents. Niji fumbled the shit out of this by giving some people clear priority and waiting so long that talents leaving fucked up their plans.
