My bad, I assumed that if there is a good and profitable reason to move the NijiFES so close to Hololfest is to try and snatch some tourists that are coming in.

Which begs the question WHY are they moving it? Is it cuz of Q4? Like it's as if your saying Q2 and Q3 don't matter? Will NijiEN be there? Are they even alive at that point?

In the past nijifes was focused entirely on the domestic audience; there was no overseas ticket option like Holoexpo/Fes have so you needed a Japanese cell number to be able to buy venue tickets, see picrel.

I think the real reason is moving Nijifes to december meant they couldn't do their NJU concert for New Years that actually had better ticket revenue than nijifes, but putting it earlier in 2024 would have been a logistical nightmare, so they chose to push it back to 2025

The 'snatching tourists coming to holofes' idea seems retarded since extremely few people can just take a whole month off work and afford lodgings for that entire month. If I was to travel for Holofes, I'd have at least 2 weeks MAX, not even close to the time Nijifes is happening.

Yes, but her 3D was an hour before the free portion of Holofes, not an entire month earlier, and is a prerecorded stream, not in person. The whole, "I need to fly to Japan and stay there for a month to see both events" is not easy to do.

for every ticket sold to nijifes last year there were 3 people who entered the lottery and didn't get tickets; holofes was similar. Increasing the festival to 3 days and the concerts to 5 days will accommodate a lot more people in person while increasing the number of concerts will boost stream ticket revenue

Nijifes doesn't work that way; even for JP in terms of separately ticketed 3D events they had:
>2 concerts with 8 people each
>A Kuzuha event + 6 guest appearances
>A theater production with 9 people
On the one hand no EN or ex-ID were in those, but on the other hand about 3/4 of JP members also didn't have any part
