>>74916564My theory is that Vox played Nioh 1 or Sekiro off stream and thought "Man, I really want one of these designs for my next outfit!". So he had his manager call up LAM and she presented some rough sketches based on his ideas. She probably went to work on the final design that Vox thought was the coolest because "The customer is always right!" and whatnot.
The artwork that LAM made for it is nice, even if nothing about it makes me think about Vox at all. But the real problem was that Vox pushed it into production without even thinking of what it would look in motion at all, which is a major problem with a lot of NijiEN's male models. Their rigging isn't great but it really shows with their male models, since as was demonstrated, Vox's model is barely capable of moving side to side. Fulgur's recent one also looked very rough in motion, and then you have models like Sonny/Uki/Hex's where the faces seem barely capable of emoting much outside of their default expression.
I don't think the problem was with LAM at all, because she's definitely good at making good designs like Ollie's. But there's only so much she can do, and ultimately its up to the riggers to do her work justice.
