If you are coming from Hololive and wondering what separates them from the girls. It will be that they feel like friends with each other and not just some colleagues working in the same company. This is not to say that the girls are otherwise, but the stars have only 9 members which makes it easier to maintain close relationships with everyone rather than forming cliques like in Hololive. There is also no senpai-koukai hierarchy in holostars unlike the rest of hololive which really shows how tightly-knitted the group is.
If you are into guys there is some pandering that you might be into, mostly from the 3rd gen. They are basically a fan service duo but it's quite mild so you can ignore that if you are not into it.
My reasons of watching them are a mixture of all 3 above.
