>>75179404Cover's stock is an iffy thing to me, because there are some things about investor pressure that I think would genuinely benefit Cover to pursue while there are other things that pressure would easily ruin Hololive over.
>Your male entertainers are underperforming substantially both relative to your female entertainers and your competitor's male entertainers, and are not making anywhere close to the returns expected given the investment required for themMaking Cover re-evaluate the Stars from a business perspective is a good thing, as much as their fans wouldn't agree. The concern is if the answer investors want is "act more like Anycolor", which hopefully should subside a bit if Anycolor has as abysmal a next quarter as we all expect they will.
>You're paying your entertainers much more than your main competitor is, which is leaving a large amount of potential profit on the tableBraindead investor take that I hope they'll also drop as Anycolor continues to struggle
>Your non-seasonal merchandise operation seems to be far behind your competitor, leaving an untapped revenue source that should be made a higher priorityVery good investor take that I'm hoping Cover will continue to get better at. I would kill for more OMOCAT-styled year-round apparel merch or general merch that isn't acrylics and pins and voicepacks.
The problem is that I think a lot of us want some of the benefits of Cover engaging actively with their stock, but not the risks. As long as management continues to operate intelligently instead of trying to please investors every quarter to the detriment of the business itself we should be safe, but it's very easy to fall too far in one direction or the other and either tank your stock through neglect or tank your business through greed.
